The START Saving Program is Louisiana's 529 College Savings Plan, administered by LOSFA.

The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) staff will participate in a mandatory all-staff training on Monday, August 31.

While the LOSFA office will remain open, staff availability will be limited, and visitors may experience delays or reduced access to direct assistance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our team completes this important training and returns to full availability on Tuesday, September 1.

The Louisiana Achieving a Better Life Experience (LA ABLE) account program allows families to save private funds to support persons with disabilities in endeavors to maintain health, independence, and quality of life.

An LA ABLE account may be available to individuals whose disability began before age 46. You may qualify based on SSI/SSDI eligibility or a disability certification.
