For more than a century, Evangeline Maid has been serving up a true taste of Acadiana. Founded by the Huval family in Youngsville in 1919, the bakery moved to Lafayette in 1926 and has remained deeply connected to South Louisiana ever since.

From its iconic logo, modeled after founder Joseph Huval’s daughter Mary, to a baking process rooted in the same traditions used since the beginning, Evangeline Maid is a Louisiana brand built on local pride, tradition and generations of craftsmanship. Today, its bread is still baked in Acadiana, continuing a story that began more than 100 years ago.
