As DOTD works toward repairs on US 84 near the Village of Clarence in Natchitoches Parish, we want you to be aware that ‘No Truck’ (CMV) signs have been posted along LA 1226. The designated detour for trucks is US 71 and LA 6, and this implementation is for the safety of the traveling public.

Construction continues to make significant progress on the $59.5 million LA 302: Bayou Barataria Movable Bridge Project in Lafitte.
Major structural work is nearing completion, with crews now focusing on the bridge’s operating systems and remaining roadway connections ahead of anticipated completion in the third quarter of 2027.
