๐Ÿš’ What a fun morning for our Pre-K 3 & Pre-K 4 classes!
Today we welcomed the East Side Fire Department to Mother's Choice! Our little learners learned about fire safety, met real firefighters, and got an up close look at one of the fire trucks that helps keep us safe.

There's something special about seeing children learn directly from the people who serve our community. These hands on experiences and interactions help make learning meaningful and create memories they'll carry with them for years to come.

Sending a heartfelt thank you to the firefighters for taking time out of their day to invest in our children. We appreciate their service, kindness, and the positive impact they made today.

Thank you for helping us make today one our children won't soon forget! โค๏ธ๐Ÿš’

At approximately 7:00 p.m. this evening, E-913, E-923, and L-918 responded to a reported structure fire, along side units from Baton Rouge Fire Department and St. George Fire Department.

E-913 arrived on scene and encountered a working residential structure fire, with flames visible from a window on the side of the residence and conditions indicating that the fire had extended into the attic.

Crews worked quickly to gain entry, bring the fire under control, and prevent further extension throughout the attic and into additional bedrooms.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all personnel on scene, the fire was contained and no injuries were reported among residents or responding firefighters.

We appreciate the teamwork and assistance provided by Baton Rouge Fire Department and St. George Fire Department.

๐Ÿš What an incredible training opportunity today at East Side Fire Department! ๐Ÿš

As part of our monthly Box Training with Central Fire Department and District Six Fire Department, firefighters trained on establishing and operating helicopter landing zones for medical air transport emergencies.

The highlight of the day was welcoming Acadian Air Medโ€™s AirMed 6 to our station, where the aircraft landed right in front of our firefighters. This hands-on experience allowed personnel to see exactly what it takes to safely set up a landing zone, communicate with the flight crew, and support air medical operations during critical incidents.

These types of trainings help ensure that when a patient needs rapid transport to specialized medical care, our crews are ready to work seamlessly with our air medical partners.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the AirMed 6 crew and Acadian AirMed for taking the time to visit, answer questions, and share their knowledge with our firefighters. Strong partnerships and continuous training help us provide the best possible service to the citizens we are proud to protect.
