Representative Jay Galle’s HB 816 strengthens Louisiana’s national security by prohibiting foreign adversaries from acquiring or owning property near military installations. The legislation helps safeguard critical military assets, protect strategic infrastructure, and ensure foreign entities with interests contrary to the United States cannot gain a foothold near sensitive defense locations. HB 816 builds on Louisiana’s ongoing efforts to protect our state, our service members, and our national security. Jay Galle

⏰ Louisiana homeowners have until June 30, 2026 to apply for the FORTIFIED Roof Tax Credit for roofs certified in 2025.

Eligible homeowners may receive a state income tax credit of up to $10,000 for qualified FORTIFIED roof upgrades. Credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dozens of inactive boards and commissions that have been cluttering our state statutes for years are GONE. That means less bureaucratic dead weight and a state government that actually works for the people of Louisiana.
