Seniors! If you are applying to any schools that require the Common Application, remember that you must assign your recommenders through the website. This includes your counselor and any teachers who will be providing recommendations for you. Having completed recommendations is a requirement for the common application and your file will not be complete until they are done. Make sure you do this ASAP!

On September 30 at 6:30 pm in the high school forum, counselors will be hosting an informational meeting for parents of seniors. We will be discussing the college application process, deadlines, senior-year timelines, when to apply for scholarships and financial aid, the Legacy Scholars process, and other senior topics. This information was presented to seniors two weeks ago. Beth Luckock from Legacy Scholars will also be present to give information and answer questions. A more detailed meeting concerning scholarships and financial aid will be held in December. We hope to see you there!

All juniors must be present on Friday morning to complete some required paperwork for the MME. This includes juniors who attend the Calhoun Area Career Center in the morning - we are aware that they are closed that day, so those students should report to the cafeteria during first block. They will then join the rest of the juniors in the black box at 8:15 for an assembly prior to completing the MME pre-identification paperwork. Thanks!

Any student who thinks they may use their Legacy Scholarship at any time over the next five years *must* complete the Battle Creek Community Foundation Scholarship application this year!!! Here's a senior year checklist created by Legacy Scholars - make sure you are on track to get your scholarship. By now you should have already applied to Kellogg Community College and should be working on completing the FAFSA and BCCF application. See your counselor if you have any questions.
