Greetings Bearcats,

Please join us in welcoming Shalana Thompson as our newest Board of Education trustee. Shalana is a lifelong Bearcat who attended BCPS from kindergarten through graduation from Battle Creek Central High School. She brings more than 20 years of experience in finance, budgeting, operations, and higher education. Shalana currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for United Way of Northwest Indiana, where she pairs financial leadership with work that strengthens communities.

Battle Creek Public Schools is seeking applications for a vacant position on the Board of Education.

Letters of interest may be emailed to [email protected] or delivered in person to the Administration Office (3 West Van Buren Street) between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Please include a brief statement explaining why you are interested in serving on the Board of Education, the unique perspective and experience you would bring to the role, and your involvement in the community. Be sure to attach your resume with your submission.
