The joy of Rx Kids is spreading! Successfully launched in Flint in 2024, the program is now coming to the cities of Battle Creek, Albion, Springfield, and Sheridan Township starting July 1! Rx Kids is a program that provides all pregnant moms in the cities of Battle Creek, Albion, Springfield, and Sheridan Township with no-strings-attached cash prescription of $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 each month throughout the baby's first 6 months of life. ❤️ Learn more at RxKids.org

New study! Following the launch of Rx Kids, Flint saw an estimated 18% reduction in preterm births and a 27% reduction in low birthweight, according to the peer-reviewed study. These improvements contributed to a roughly 29% decrease in NICU admissions, generating millions in healthcare savings.

RX Kids will be launching in Battle Creek, Springfield, Albion, Sheridan Twp on July 1st, thanks to amazing a community that came together to raise the private funding needed to launch this program!

Our Bridge & Build event and all the information presented was so well received from everyone who attended. It reinforced why we do this work, and that we are here for the community for the long haul. We loved hearing the feedback from all the attendees and look forward to incorporating it into our mission-driven work.

Great work happening in Battle Creek! BCCF is a proud partner and had the opportunity to attend today’s celebration of the first home that was renovated in Battle Creek for First Home, First Teacher!

It’s known as the "First Home, First Teacher" initiative, an effort that provides a fully furnished duplex to two early childhood educators and their families.
