Last night at the City Commission meeting, Community Action was honored to receive the Beautiful Battle Creek Award.

The Beautiful Battle Creek Awards are monthly recognitions presented by the Battle Creek City Commission and Mayor Behnke to residents and local businesses that go above and beyond in property maintenance and exterior beautification. Honorees are nominated by their local Neighborhood Planning Councils for helping make our city shine.
We are proud to receive this recognition and take great pride in maintaining our campus, including the multiple buildings and green spaces that serve our community every day. We strive to be the best neighbor we can be and to provide welcoming, well-maintained spaces for our clients, staff, partners, and visitors.

This award reflects the hard work and dedication of our Maintenance team, whose efforts keep our buildings and grounds looking their best year-round. Their commitment often happens behind the scenes, but it plays a vital role in creating a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our campus.

The award was accepted on behalf of Community Action by CEO Courtney Iobe and Assistant Director of Emergency and Supportive Services Laura Jones.
Thank you to our Maintenance team and everyone who helps make Community Action a place our community can be proud of!

Our children enjoyed learning about the important role law enforcement officers play in keeping our communities safe, asking questions, and exploring the tools Trooper Bailey uses on the job. Thank you, Trooper Bailey, for providing this fun and educational experience for our young learners!
