Couldn't ask for a better group of guys to fight fire with for 2 day out at the Pressey Fire. Mid NE Task Force and Sutton Task Force. Albion, Monroe, St. Ed and Newman Grove. We gave it all we had for our 48 hour shift.

MidNE Task Force has been requested for a 48 hour rotation in Custer County for mutual aid for the Pressey Fire. Albion, Battle Creek, Monroe, Newman Grove, and St. Edward have members responding.

The Battle Creek Voluteer Fire and Rescue is preparing for their dinner and dance tonight. The meat is on the grill, the tables are set and the stage is ready for the One Man Band!

We are so thankful for the support from our Community and the surrounding area.

If you have not sent your money yet, you can drop it off when you get here or if you have other plans you can still put it in the mail.

We are also serving to go boxes.

🚨 As Governor Pillen just rescinded the state wide burn ban, this does not freely allow the lighting of any fires at any time. Nebraska is always in a burn ban, the Governor has lifted the ban to allow fire districts to approve burn permits based on multiple factors including but not limited to weather, future forecast, location and fuel. Please follow this link to apply for a burn permit within the Battle Creek Fire District.
