CHECK THIS OUT!!! BIG THANKS TO ELKHORN PUBLIC POWER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND!! THIS FUND IS PROVIDED THROUGH THE OPERATION ROUND UP PROGRAM WHEN CUSTOMERS ROUND UP THIER BILL TO THE NEAREST DOLLAR!

We applied for this $1000 grant and were grateful to receive it! Check out what it went to!

Most of you know we are apart of the Mid Nebrask Task Force out of Albion Volunteer Fire and Rescue. We were deployed to assist with several wild fires this spring. One important safety device we were lacking were Personel Fire Shelters. Thanks to this program from the REA, we used that money to buy 2 of these shelters. We really hope we would never need to use them, but this year some of ours teams were in some pretty tough spots. As you have heard on the news, the US have lost quite a few Wildland firefighters this year fighting wildfires. We will be happy to know we have these shelters with us, hoping to never have to use them! You can click the link below for a more detailed summary of the shelter. Tallgrass Energy will be working on a project beginning today, Monday, August 17th. As part of the work, residents may notice a natural gas odor throughout the week.

This odor is expected as part of the project and does not necessarily indicate a gas leak. However, if you notice an unusually strong or concerning odor, please contact the appropriate authorities or Tallgrass Energy.
