Nick is a proud member of WMVA's Class of 2026, and today he stopped by to pick up his transcripts. While he was here, we had the chance to talk about what's next for him.

This fall, Nick will be attending Kellogg Community College, where he plans to begin working toward a degree before transferring to a university. Along the way, he'll also be balancing a part-time job. His ultimate goal? To become a math or history teacher and inspire the next generation of students.

Before he left, I asked Nick if he had any advice for current WMVA students. His response:

"Enjoy high school while you can. It goes by a lot faster than you'd think."

Wise words, Nick! 💙

We love seeing our graduates take the next step toward their dreams, and we can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish. Congratulations, and best of luck at Kellogg!

☀️ Meet the ray of sunshine, Macy Irwin! ☀️

Macy is one of the 80 graduates in West Michigan Virtual Academy's Class of 2026!

While stopping by the office to pick up her diploma, Macy shared that she will be attending the Douglas J Institute in Grand Rapids this fall to pursue her dream of becoming an esthetician.

Macy is a dedicated and hardworking student. During high school, she balanced her coursework while working at Subway and still managed to graduate on time. This summer, she is enjoying a well-deserved break before beginning her college journey.

When asked why she wants to become an esthetician, Macy shared:

"I just want people to feel comfortable in their own skin. After years of dealing with difficult acne, I discovered a passion for skincare."

When asked what advice she would give current WMVA students, her response was simple:

"Be kind."

Well said, Macy. 💙

Congratulations from all of us at WMVA! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see all that you accomplish. May your future be every bit as bright as you are.

2026 WMVA Graduation

🌪️🌦️ We had a special visitor at WMVA today!

Weekend/Evening Meteorologist Will Haenni WWMT from News Channel 3 stopped by to spend time with our students!

He shared great information about tornado safety 🌪️, talked about the recent weather events 🌧️, and even led a fun hands on experiment where we created a cloud in a bottle! ☁️🧪

It was an awesome way for students to learn more about how weather works and what meteorologists do every day! 🌬️📡
