🚨 ROOF SIT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🚨

The Haven of Rest's annual Roof Sit fundraiser is coming up June 12-13, and we need your help staffing our Bucket Brigades throughout the Battle Creek area!

Bucket Brigade volunteers help collect donations that directly support Inasmuch House, our shelter for homeless women and children. This is a fun, family-friendly volunteer opportunity, and shifts can be as short as 1½ hours.

âś… Family-friendly
âś… Short shifts available
âś… Free event T-shirt
âś… Make a real difference for local women and children experiencing homelessness

We have plenty of volunteer spots available and would love to have individuals, families, church groups, coworkers, and community organizations join us.

To reserve your Bucket Brigade shift, please call the Haven of Rest main office at 269-965-1148

Every hour volunteered helps provide shelter, meals, safety, and hope to women and children in our community.

Join us June 12-13 and help make this year's Roof Sit a success!

The Haven's men's life recovery program planted flags at the graves of veterans in Memorial Park cemetery on Friday. This is an annual, heartfelt and dedicated event, done by the men of the life recovery program. It's our honor to participate in this Memorial every year.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

This Mother’s Day, we are reminded that behind every mother experiencing homelessness is a story most people never see — nights filled with fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, and the desperate hope of keeping their children safe.

At the Inasmuch House, the Women's Life Recovery Program, and the Haven Maternity House, mothers facing crisis situations find more than shelter. They find refuge, compassion, stability, and the opportunity to begin again. Many arrive carrying overwhelming burdens, yet they continue fighting every day for the well-being of their children and the hope of a better future.

These ministries exist because we believe every mother deserves dignity, safety, encouragement, and the chance to rebuild her life.

As we reflect on Mother’s Day, we invite you to stand beside the mothers in our community who need hope the most. Your support helps provide safe housing, meals, counseling, baby supplies, and loving care for women and children during some of life’s most difficult moments.

If you would like to support the Haven Maternity Housing, Inasmuch House, or the Women's Life Recovery Program this Mother’s Day, you can give here: www.thehavenbc.org

Thank you for helping us remind mothers in crisis that they are not forgotten. ❤️

Hi Haven Nation,
We're looking for donations of bibles for our wonderful & Active Jail Ministry! We specifically need large print ( #10 font or larger), soft cover (this is important...no hard covers in the jails!) and we can use new or gently used texts. If you're looking to donate, we can even use Spanish or Chinese text bibles - our ministry serves the people held in the Immigration & Customs units at the Calhoun County Jails, who's native language may be something other than English! Donations can be dropped off downtown at 11 Green Street. THANK YOU!!
