WORKERS DESERVE A VOICE ON THE JOB.

In 2023, Michigan lawmakers voted on Senate Bill 34, legislation that repealed Michigan’s private-sector right-to-work restrictions and restored collective-bargaining provisions.

Thomas Albert voted NO on SB 34.

The legislation passed and became Public Act 8 of 2023.

Anthony Pennock believes Michigan’s working people deserve a strong voice in their workplaces. Anthony supports:

🔵 The right to organize and collectively bargain
🔵 Stronger protections for organized labor
🔵 Just-cause protections for workers
🔵 Living wages that keep pace with the cost of living
🔵 Strong and secure pensions
🔵 Paid family and medical leave
Michigan’s middle class was built by working people. Anthony believes our laws should respect their work, protect their rights, and give them a meaningful voice at the bargaining table.

Anthony Pennock is ready to stand with Michigan workers.

Real leadership for working people.

Exciting news! The National Association of Social Workers – Michigan Chapter PAC (M-PACE) has officially endorsed our campaign.

In my work as a special education teacher, I know how vital social workers are to creating environments where every individual has the chance to thrive. They understand firsthand the real challenges facing our students, families, and communities.

To have the support of the dedicated professionals who champion mental health and advocacy every day is a powerful vote of confidence in our vision.

Together, we’re working to uplift every individual and strengthen the social fabric of our state. On to November! NASW-Michigan

As a proud Michigander, I know the Great Lakes are sacred, not just to our environment and economy, but to our history.

Lake Ontario carries a rich Wyandot/Huron origin meaning "shining waters," a name deeply rooted in Indigenous heritage. Erasing that history with a political executive order is an insult to the region.

Even worse…Rebranding a lake on a map for petty political reasons does nothing to help struggling Michigan families pay rent, lower grocery bills, or secure good-paying jobs.

We need real solutions for working families, not vanity stunts.

SHOWING UP MATTERS. LISTENING MATTERS. LEADERSHIP MATTERS. 🇺🇸

Candidate forums give voters the chance to hear directly from the people asking to represent them—and Anthony Pennock believes showing up is part of the job.

✅ Economic Forum: Pennock attended | Albert attended
🏠 Housing Forum (September): Pennock will attend | Albert will attend
✅ NAACP Forum: Pennock attended | Albert did not attend
🎓 Education Forum (October): Pennock will attend | Albert’s attendance is unknown

Anthony is committed to being present, answering questions, listening to our neighbors, and having conversations about the issues that matter to families across Senate District 18.

Whether it’s our economy, housing, education, civil rights, or the future of our communities, Anthony will show up and do the work.

Real leaders show up. That’s the difference.

Rest in Peace, Dolly Parton. ❤️

Today, we lost an American icon. Dolly Parton passed away at 80, leaving behind a legacy that reaches far beyond country music.

As an educator, I have always especially admired Dolly for what she did for children. Through the Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of millions of children and showed what can happen when we invest in literacy, imagination, and opportunity.

Her dedication to education was recognized in 2022, when the National Education Association honored Dolly with its Friend of Education Award for her extraordinary contributions to childhood literacy. It was a fitting recognition for someone who understood that giving a child a book can open a lifetime of possibilities.

Dolly never forgot where she came from. She used her success to lift others up, bring people together, and spread a little more kindness in the world.

Her music will live on, but so will the children who discovered a love of reading because a book arrived with Dolly's name on it. That may be one of the greatest legacies anyone could leave behind.

My thoughts are with her family, friends, and the millions of people whose lives she touched.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the books, the laughter, and the kindness. ❤️📚🎶
