I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I was looking at our posts and we had change our Tuesday hours, but since then we have changed both Tuesday and Thursday hours.

TUESDAY 12-4
THURSDAY 10-3:30

I would like to remind everyone that we do close the doors 30 minutes prior to closing.

CLOTHING….. if you come and you want Clothing, you MUST be CHECKED in 1 1/2 hours prior to closing time.

I’d like to also take a moment to thank the community for rising to the recent challenges with the government shut down. Even prior to that, our shelves were getting sparse. With such a terrific outpouring of support from the community our shelves are now looking great!

And again, I’d like to remind everyone that we will be closed the end of December. Our dates of closure are above and we hope that everyone has a wonderful, blessed and safe Christmas holiday.

WE LOVE YOU BATTLE GROUND❤️🎄⛪️✝️

Unto us is born this day, in the city of David, a savior which is CHRIST the Lord. Luke 2:11

Good afternoon BG

If you keep up with our page, you’ll know that we have changed our hours for the summer on Tuesdays. Our new hours are 12:00-4:00. We have decided that we are going to keep those hours moving forward.

Another issue that I would like to address are our donations. We have limited what we accept because we were getting more unusable donations than those that are usable. We are nonprofit and we have to pay for our garbage. In the past, we have been known to almost fill up a dumpster in a week with things that are completely unusable. At a cost of $100+ a month. The things that we accept :

Clothing that is appropriate for the seasons. Right now we are accepting spring and summer clothes. When the fall comes, we will be accepting fall and winter clothing only.

Pots, pans, cookware, bakeware, that is NEW or GENTLY USED.

We accept linens: towels, sheets, blankets. Again… that are new or gently used.

We are NOT accepting dishes, glassware, toys, home decor. There’s a long list of things that we are not accepting so please refer to what we do take. And again … new or gently used please.

We are excepting donations only on Tuesdays and Thursdays when we are open from 8 to 4. Please do not walk down and leave your donations at the door. When the inclement weather comes, things get wet and have to be thrown away.

We are so very grateful for the support of the community! 💕

But we do have a problem with people coming down and just dumping stuff on us that we can’t use or pass on to others. It is a problem and we’re hoping that posting this will remedy this issue.

Again, I can’t stress enough, how grateful we are for the support of the Battle Ground community. We are blessed by you.

THANK YOU 🙏

I hope everyone is staying cool in the heat today. We are changing our hours slightly this summer because of the heat and our lack of air conditioning.

Starting on July 29, Tuesday hours are changing. Our new hours will be 12-4. We are hoping to get people through the food bank before it gets too hot. Hours on Thursday will stay the same, 10-4.

JULY 24 we will be closed for our yearly camp meeting.

And again, I would like to stress to anyone coming please DO NOT bring your dogs when you come. The parking lot is incredibly hot and there is precious little shade. If you bring your dog with you, then we will give you a food box instead of letting you shop for yourself. We understand that some people don’t have the option of leaving their dogs at home. And we will be more than glad to give you a box of food and allow you to pick out your meat and produce. We will get you in and out as quick as possible. This accommodation is for those people who DO NOT have the option of leaving their pets at home.

I know this may be a little bit of an inconvenience for some and we apologize for that. But it’s hard on our volunteers and the clients to work and shop when it is so hot. I again would like to encourage everyone to check our page when the weather changes or becomes extreme to make sure that we haven’t adjusted our hours.

Thank you for your understanding.
