We look forwarding to see incoming kindergartners and their families!

Our primary schools will hold kindergarten orientations this week to help incoming kindergartners get acquainted with their new school, teachers and classmates. Parents and guardians can meet with staff members and ask questions. We hope to see you there!

A few photos from our Veteran's Day Assembly last week; This assembly is a Community/Family favorite year after year!
Thank You to our amazing Music Teacher & the families that helped with this years Veteran's Day Assembly, we are so fortunate to be here with you all in the Battle Ground Community.
Thank you to our Art Teacher as well for the beautiful Art display, such a great idea!

Last month for Boss Appreciation Day we pulled off an magnificent feat!!!!
We surprised our Awesome Principals with an Appreciation Parade from the WHOLE school! And we kept it a surprise, they were in complete shock!
Classes made signs, came up with cheers & songs as the Principals visited each class. Here are a few pictures from the event & a HUGE THANK YOU to our Amazing Admin Team, we appreciate you guys!

Last week our 1st graders met with local firefighters for a presentation & to check out a real fire truck!
It's always a good time when they can teach our students about fire safety along with some fun conversations, thank you guys for coming to Captain Strong.

PTA Fun Run update:
This past Tuesday we were able to hold our Fun Run Event for the students and they had such a Blast!
Thank you to all families that were able to donate to this event. Your donations help fund events that the PTA puts on throughout the year like a Holiday Party, Family movie nights & more.

Our goal this year was to raise $15,000 and we currently are at $14,200! So so close!! The donation window is open for a couple more days for any last minute donations.
Thank You Captain Families, the students really do have so much fun with this event :)

Meal benefit expiration
Free and reduced-price meal benefits will expire on Wednesday, Oct. 8, for students who have not renewed their application from last school year. Families must reapply for meal benefits each year to continue receiving meals at a reduced rate and/or to waive or reduce certain fees (this also requires a consent to share form). Only one application is required for each family, and the information is always kept confidential.

How to reapply:
Complete the application in Skyward.
Download an application.
Pick up an application at your child’s school.
