To the generous woman who created a full-blown free library in the laundromat which is attached to Lakes Vintage, THANK YOU🙏 This is the definition of community. Gestures of selfless kindness. The desire to give back. The offering of something accessible and unique to the general public. There are some fantastic books in this collection, especially those who like a good fictional murder mystery genre. I was happily stunned when I first discovered the newly created free library.
The free shelf (that is now a bit full as a library) accepts donations in the form of non-perishable, shelf stable food items, limited clothing in wearable condition, home decor, housewares, children’s toys, anything that people can use. It is not a drop site for old junk or garbage, but intentional items like this. Usable goods. There is a boxed ceiling fan currently and cucumbers from a neighbor’s garden there as well. It takes a village.
This is also a good reminder that the Ala Mode section of Lakes Vintage also has a book and puzzle exchange area and either of those items can be left on the free shelf at Dirty Laundry Co.
To all of you who have thought of Lakes Vintage for your donations, trades, barters, and sales, thank you for being the kind of people who give back. The Flea Market is truly something special. We have been able to build and grow rapidly because of all the generosity and excitement that has been generated💫☮️

Who doesn’t like a back-to-school fire sale?? Lakes Vintage has a revamped clothing section & a 50% off rack PLUS, everything in the Tiger Lady Vintage & Lakes Vintage section is 10% off across the board Thursday, August 27th.
If that’s not enough of a deep discount on already fair prices, Taffy’s Treasures space in the Funky Junk shed has $10 purses and 10% off her whole section. And major markdowns in Booth #2 which is largely the shabby chic collection that everyone clamors to.
The seasons are changing and so will our hours, so come in and soak up that last bit of summertime fun!

My dare to dream post for all of those who dare to dream. Several years ago, I fell for a vision that wasn’t complete. It wasn’t orchestrated. Heck, it wasn’t even known. It was just there and I sensed the potential. The results are evident.
The results are evident because of the people who showed up. You all know precisely who you are. Thank you for all daring to dream with me and coming together as a rock solid community. I am beyond words of gratitude. Together, we can build a future through community. Thanks to everyone who has been an instrumental part of this journey. Let’s keep the journey alive!

The art is just beginning to materialize on the exterior walls at Lakes Vintage thanks to the phenomenal painter Mana Bear Bolton. The outdoor “village” area remains under construction and is transforming before our very eyes. It’s looking really good. One of our shacks has morphed into a French Country theme, so come and check out all the newest and latest which continues to be ever-evolving.
