๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Today, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer โ€” it is a time to reflect on the sacrifice made by generations of Americans in defense of our freedoms.

As families and communities gather across Lander County today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to honor those who never made it home.

Lander County offices are closed today, Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, May 26.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

๐Ÿš‘ National EMS Week continues โ€” and we want to recognize the emergency medical responders who serve Lander County.

Whether responding to highway accidents, medical emergencies, community events or rural calls across long distances, EMS personnel play an important role in protecting our communities.

In rural Nevada, emergency response often requires teamwork, quick decision-making and a strong commitment to neighbors and community.

Thank you to the EMTs, paramedics, volunteers and emergency response professionals who serve Battle Mountain, Austin, Kingston and surrounding areas. We appreciate your dedication and service.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Help us celebrate EMS Week: Leave a thank-you message or share a story about an EMS responder who made a difference for your family.
