This week we celebrate our dispatchers. The fine men and women that orchestrate all of the chaos. Thank you all for everything you do day in and day out. We may be a little biased but here in Lander County we have the best in the world 😁😁. If you know a dispatcher, make sure you show them a little extra love this week.

If you were wondering a why there was a few more patrol cars in town today, our wonderful paramedics were busy. We had the pleasure of hosting the Tri-County Swat team with members from Humboldt County, Pershing County, and Lander County for a TECC class. We also had other medics at our local BLM office teaching first aid CPR. We are always super excited to have these teaching opportunities and look to more in the future.

As many of you know, this morning we had a incident on the interstate where a semi truck caught on fire. As we were opening the interstate up and allowing cars through, we noticed a number of people in their vehicles trying to record the scene. We had multiple agencies on scene and many personnel. We know you may be interested in what's going on but please don't endanger our first responders by playing on your phone while coming through these scenes. Thank you for your understanding.

Our employees have been busy this weekend. Mikel Harris, Rebecca Hutto, and Chaz Hutto took 2 days to teach and become instructors for the TECC course. We got to hang out and hand out some candy. Then to wrap it up, we were invited to some mutual vehicle extrication training with Battle Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
