Anyone know who this dog belongs to? It is very timid and has taken shelter at the Battlefield Police Department. It did however greatly appreciate the water and snacks our officers provided it. :)

Any information on a possible owner would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Today Ofc. Moss and Ofc. Dabbs responded to an intense call for service. The suspect, described as brown with fluffy hair, and extremely cute, was trespassing. Officers Moss and Dabbs took quick action, apprehended the perpetrator, and removed it from the area without further incident. :)

August will be here before we know it. Please put August 4th, 2026, on your calendar and join us for our annual National Night Out celebration at the Cherokee Trail of Tears Park, (City Hall). Each year this celebration grows a little bigger and we want that trend to continue! Music, games, food and fun! We have a wonderful community so please join us and meet more of your wonderful community neighbors and those of us that are here to serve/protect you all.

We are receiving reports of scammers contacting people all over the area stating they already have an appointment scheduled to come to people’s homes to complete assessments for roof damage due to the recent hail storms. If you receive one of these calls, please do not provide them with any personal or financial information and simply tell them you’re not interested. If they persist, let them know you will be notifying the police department and providing the phone number from which they called. Thank you.

On 04/25/26 Corporal Cooley represented the Battlefield Police Department in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at the Battlefield Pharmacy. During the four hours of the event, over 65 pounds of unwanted/unused prescription drugs were turned in! We would like to thank everyone involved, and everyone who turned drugs in, for helping to make our community a safer place.

Please join us in congratulating Brent Armstrong as the new Chief of Police for the city of Battlefield, Missouri!  Chief Armstrong has been a member of the Battlefield Police Department for the last 15 years, the last several years serving as Lieutenant, and was a graduate of the Missouri Police Chiefs Association Command College in 2024. Chief Armstrong looks forward to his continued service to our great community!
