A traffic law reminder from our very own Deputy Jordan.

My partner, "Cop Robert" (lovingly named by one of my little friends) is helping patrol tonight!

​Here’s a serious, yet silly-sounding traffic fact for your feed: In Arkansas, there is a 'Dead Red' exception that legally allows a motorcycle to safely proceed through a red light if the intersection's vehicle sensor fails to detect them because of their size.

​Unfortunately for the rest of you, your cars, trucks, and SUVs definitely don't qualify for the 'too small to be noticed' excuse, which means you have to sit there and wait it out! 🛑

​And while we're at it: yes, you can usually turn right on red, but you still have to come to a COMPLETE stop first before making your move. A 'rolling stop' is just a fancy way of saying 'I didn't actually stop.".

Stay safe, and come to a complete stop before turning right on red if you want to remain citation free on this fine Sunday night!

​We’ve dusted off the old lists and are ready to clear the books. But let’s be real, no one wants to make this chart. It's like getting picked last in gym class, but with more legal paperwork. 🕵️‍♂️

But wait! We've added a plot twist for you! We don’t just want to find you; we want to help you resolve things!

​Did you know you have options beyond just paying up? We are officially highlighting the availability of community service to resolve many of these pesky fines and warrants! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ Instead of a stern conversation, maybe you’d prefer a friendly chat while we clear some public spaces? We can talk cash or talk trash (pickup)!

​So, if you see a friendly face on this list, or are that friendly face, come on down to the Bauxite Marshal's Office. Let's get these settled. At the end of last year we had a sad case of animal cruelty, and removed Sissy from her situation.

Southern Hearts Rescue and Humane Society of Saline County stepped in and stepped up to the challenge of getting Sissy on the road to recovery.

We are proud and beyond excited to hear that this special girl has found her FUREVER home!

A HUGE thank you for the help we received from both agencies! We couldn't have done our part without you! Team work really does make the dream work!

You deserve this, sweet baby Sissy!

We are SO excited we made the list of nominations! Railway Pizza, Blissful Bakery and More, The Blue Hole Market & Creamery, The Sanctuary Head Spa, Carley Roach, Ingle Law Firm, CS Perfect Mix Entertainment, Rock Island General Store were all nominated! Our Deputy Jordan and our Fire Chief Josh Holmes made it, as well as a few others from our schools and community!

We're so happy so many businesses and people from our community have made the list to vote for!
