Happy Friday, Appling County!

Launching TODAY is our new communication plan and we're excited to share it! We've spent several months working, tailoring and testing our methods of communication to get them ready for public use.

Tiers 1, 2 and 3 all require a follow or subscription to the information. Tier 4 will only come out when there is a critical emergency and will pop up just like AMBER Alerts. ALL methods are completely free to users!

We recommend taking full advantage of these resources and taking the time to learn them before you really need them. These resources are available whether you live/work in unincorporated Appling County or in the city.

Good morning and happy Friday, Appling County! We're at marginal risk for isolated severe storms today. While we can't pinpoint exactly where or exactly when we may see impacts, it's important to stay weather aware! Make sure your alerts are on and if you hear thunder, it's time to head inside!

This morning at our Area EMAG meeting in Wheeler County, our Director and Deputy Director got to hear from several of our state agricultural partners. We learned just how many resources are available when our community needs help most. Amongst the presenters, we got to spend some time hearing from and talking to Tyler Harper, Agricultural Commissioner.
