Socialist-backed candidate takes the lead in Wisconsin's Democratic governor primary.

State Rep. Francesca Hong, a Democratic Socialists of America member, tops the field at 26% in a new Marquette Law School poll — ahead of former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes at 15%, with nearly half of voters still undecided.

Hong has landed endorsements from Reps. Ilhan Omar and Ro Khanna and previously called for defunding and abolishing police, though her campaign says she no longer holds that position.
