Welcome to the official page of the Bay City Fire Department. Our primary objective with this page is to ensure that the citizens of Bay City, Tillamook County, and visitors are well-informed about the latest updates and advancements in Bay City's Emergency Services. We aim to provide a comprehensive range of information that will be beneficial to our community members. The Bay City Fire

Department operates as a dedicated combination department, comprising both paid staff and committed volunteers. We take great pride in serving not only the residents of Bay City, but also the wider Tillamook County. With a dedicated team of over 20+ skilled volunteers and currently 4 paid personnel, we stand prepared to respond to various emergencies. Our services encompass fire suppression, emergency medical calls, technical rescue, vehicle accidents, natural disasters, hazardous materials incidents, public assists, search & rescue operations, and providing mutual aid support to other departments in the county when necessary. Our mission is centered around delivering the highest quality life-saving response, emergency preparedness, and preventive measures to both the citizens and visitors of Bay City and Tillamook County. If you have a passion for serving your community and would like to join our dedicated team as a volunteer, please don't hesitate to contact us. You can reach us by calling (503) 377-0233, sending an email to [email protected], or visiting our fire station in person. We are excited to hear from those interested and eagerly look forward to discussing the volunteering opportunities available. ‼️A new fire district would replace any existing fire tax rate. ‼️

Bay City property owners are currently paying $1.80 per $1,000 assessed property value. This rate was created as a five-year levy in 2022 and is set to expire in 2027.

In the event that a Tillamook Bay Fire District is created, the current Bay City Fire tax rate will dissolve, and be REPLACED with the new tax rate of $1.49 per $1,000 assessed property value for Bay City property owners.
