Food Assistance Lockers
The Board approved a request to allow the addition of food lockers outside of the new Bay County Health Department. Funded by the Bay Area Community Foundation and the United Way of Bay County, the refrigerated lockers will allow those in need in the community to access food assistance outside of regular distribution/pantry hours. The lockers will feature 15 doors, each with a unique access code, and will be stocked by local pantries.
My Community Dental Centers
The Board approved the renewal of a contract with My Community Dental Centers (MCDC) to provide dental services to underserved members of the Bay County community. MCDC has operated in Bay City since 2019, offering services including cleanings/exams, bridges, crowns, and more. Visit mydental.org for more information!
Downtown Bay City Christmas Tree
The Board approved the removal of a pine tree from the Community Center grounds for use as the Downtown Bay City Christmas tree during the upcoming holiday season. The tree would have needed to be removed before the opening of the new Community Center pool and will bring joy to thousands as it is lit up to celebrate the holidays.
