Donations can be dropped off at any of our three office locations in Bay City, Wharton, or El Campo. Every donation helps us make sure our clients have access to food and everyday essentials when they need them most.

🚸 Students are Back in School Today! 🚸

Summer break has come to an end, and our students have returned to school this morning, August 12th. As a result, more children will be walking and biking—especially during morning and afternoon hours.

👀 Stay Alert:

‼ Slow down in school zones and obey posted speed limits 🚸
‼ Watch for kids crossing streets and walking near schools 🚸
‼ Remember that cell phone use in a School Zone is PROHIBITED 📵; DON'T DRIVE DISTRACTED 🚸
‼ Be extra cautious around school buses—never pass when lights are flashing

✅ DO pay attention, drive within the speed limit and in a way as if your loved ones are crossing the road 💛👍

📚🎒 Bay City Public Housing Authority's First Back-to-School Bash! 🎒📚

The Bay City Police Department was honored to be a part of the South Park Homes Community Back-to-School Bash! Due to yesterday's weather, the event was moved to the community center at 3012 Sycamore Avenue, but thanks to a dedicated team-effort, the event still took place!

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside incredible community partners who came together to provide school supplies, clothing, and essentials to local families as they prepare for the new school year.

We were also able to provide crime prevention resources to families, including fun and educational coloring books to our children that promote safety and positive decision making.

Events like this are good reminders that when we work together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our children and families.

A very special thank you to Mrs. La Wanda Davis and the Bay City Public Housing Authority for organizing this event and making it possible for us to come together to bless our community. Your leadership, heart, and dedication to serving others truly make a difference, and we are grateful for the difference you continue to make.

💙 We are grateful to serve a community where people care, come together, and look out for each other.

BCPD Arrests Suspect Following Armed Domestic Disturbance

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:04 a.m., Officers with the Bay City Police Department responded to a reported domestic disturbance at an apartment in Bay City located at 1901 Palm Village.
While officers were enroute, dispatch advised that the suspect, Keyon Marshall, 20 years old from Bay City, was inside the residence and had reportedly been awake throughout the night. The complainant stated Marshall was damaging property inside the home and reported seeing him armed with a black firearm. The complainant also advised that Marshall remained inside the residence after she contacted law enforcement. Officers reviewed video surveillance and confirmed they did not observe Marshall leaving the residence. Detective Soto initiated negotiations over a loudspeaker in an effort to peacefully resolve the situation. A short time later, Marshall exited the residence with his hands visible and surrendered to officers without incident. He was safely taken into custody. Marshall was arrested on outstanding Bay City Police Department warrants for:
• Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
• Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call
• Simple Assault
He was transported to the Matagorda County Jail, where he was booked in for the outstanding charges. The Bay City Police Department commends the responding officers and Detective Soto for their professionalism and commitment to bringing the incident to a safe resolution without injury to the public, officers, or the suspect.

🐾 FREE MICROCHIP CLINIC! Bay City Animal Control will offer free pet microchipping, for dogs only at this time, on August 14–15 from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at 4611 Starling Drive. Appointments are required—schedule yours at https://cobc.s.gy/MicroChip and please follow the instructions listed in the original post.

This initiative is to help keep our local pets safe and to help with an actual or faster reunification with their families if they ever become lost or stolen.

Thank you to our local H-E-B partners for inviting us to hang out during H-E-B Kid's Day! It was a blast connecting with some of the kids in our community 💥🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️💙🖤
