Message from the Clerk

The Township had an overall 34% voter turnout for the August Election. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and participate in our election!

During the election, several voters mentioned to our Election Inspectors that they did not want to receive a ballot by mail and would prefer to vote in person.

If you are currently on the Permanent Ballot List, you have a couple of options:
• Keep receiving your ballot by mail. You can take your time, research the candidates and proposals, and vote your ballot at home. If you prefer, you can bring your completed ballot to your precinct on Election Day and place it directly into the tabulator.
• Request in writing to be removed from the Permanent Ballot List. Once removed, you will no longer automatically receive a ballot by mail.
• Come to the Clerk’s Office and complete a form requesting to be removed from the Permanent Ballot List.

Being on the Permanent Ballot List does not mean you are required to vote by mail. It simply gives you the option to receive a ballot at home before each election.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the August Election and to all of our voters for your patience and cooperation. We appreciate everyone who takes the time to participate in the election process!

Dawn Bublitz, Clerk
Bangor Charter Township

Please do not send money or provide financial information to anyone claiming to be an employee of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

If you receive a suspicious call like this, hang up. Please help us spread the word by sharing this post/information with your family and friends, especially those who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.
