The DNR has issued burn restrictions for today this means there is no opening burning of yard waste (leaves,grass,branches etc.) no burn permits will be issued. Recreational and cooking fires are still permitted. If you have any questions please contact the station. 686-1120 thank you have a great day.

🚧 Road Closed Means Road Closed — No Exceptions 🚧

When barricades are placed for water over the road, they are there to protect you — not inconvenience you.

Driving around these barriers is extremely dangerous and illegal. Water depth can change quickly, currents can move vehicles, and the roadway underneath may be damaged or completely washed out.

Our crews place these closures based on real hazards we’ve identified. Ignoring them puts your life, your passengers, and emergency responders at risk.

Please do your part:
• Do NOT drive around barricades
• Turn around and find an alternate route
• Respect all road closure signage

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep our roads — and our community — safe. 💙

We’re shouting congratulations and wishing you well on your retirement Ron Moore.
Ron spent 32 years proudly serving the residents of Bangor Township.
He contributed many years in the “fill the boot” campaign including being the coordinator for Bangor Twp.
He also has many years and 1st place wins in the Bay County Chili cook-off contest.
He was presented a gold challenge coin and a retirement axe from our Union.

All of us here at BTFD would like to give a big thank you to Jeff Sargeson for being our guest speaker at this months Fire Training. He was very knowledgeable when discussing incident safety and vehicle placement safety. In addition, he humbly shared details about his incident he had on New Year's Eve 2024. Jeff was the victim of an accident on the highway while working as a firefighter in Monitor Twp. This accident ended his career with the fire service and left him with lifelong injuries that he battles daily. The many years of experience he had before the accident and the knowledge or insight he gained after the accident was shared with your Bangor Twp Firefighters. And for that, we are thankful! Stay strong and we wish you well as you keep healing Jeff!!!
