Friends of the Sargent Library

Friends of the Sargent Library Friends of the Sargent Library is a 501(c)(3) organization that assists in promoting literacy and participation in library programs.

FOSL aids in providing funds to meet special library needs. FOSL also awards up to $7,400 in scholarships annually. Our First Priority: To support the youth of Sargent by providing books, DVDs, summer activities, accelerated reading support, computer literacy training, an after school study site and incentives to come and use the library. Our Second Priority: To help provide magazines, national ne

wspapers, best sellers, DVDs without rental fees, free WI-FI, faxing, computer access and instruction, community information and a place to meet and learn. Our Third Priority: To try to address future needs of any sort so that we continue to have a library in Sargent.

It’s hard to believe August is already here — and that means we’re getting closer to the BIG move into the new Library! Join us for the Sargent Area Chamber of Commerce Social at the current Bay City Library – Sargent Branch on Thursday, 8/27 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about upcoming Library activities and hear a construction update on the new Sargent Community Center from Commissioner Mike Estlinbaum. We’d love to see you there!
