Bay City Professional Fire Fighters Local 116 is accepting applications! We have an immediate opening and are creating an eligibility list. Michigan Professional Fire Fighters

-Defined benefit pension with 2.8 multiplier
-Voluntary 457, IRA plans
-$72,401 - $81,441 salary for FF/Engineers
-4% raises each year
-12 paid holidays, (Double time)
-Additional vacation time accrual for off duty members on all holidays
-Compensatory time off
-Fire Instructor stipend
-Excellent healthcare plans
-Retiree Health Savings with 6% city contribution
-BLS non transporting agency
-24 Hour shifts
-3 stations

This morning while the C-Shift was out completing Boat training, a young lab had curiously swam all the way out to the middle of the channel. With perfect timing on our side, members were able to secure the pup and bring her safely back to her owner! Nice work and an excellent training opportunity.
