Picking colors and designs today was the greatest feeling and most fun! We are excited to get the renderings back of what the colors will all look like together!

Today we toured the job site again...we saw the outdoor area staked out and we saw where the 3 big slides are going to go... (well hopefully 3....our current bid is 2 but we are hoping to raise the funds to have the 3rd slide added in!). Oh...and we have been looking at slide and kid cove color options! We can't wait for members of ALL ages in our county to enjoy and benefit from this facility!!

It's a beautiful day at the Jason Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament...raising money for scholarships for high school seniors in Matagorda County...and remembering Jason and the other 10 who lost their lives on Deepwater Horizon.

It was very surreal today going out to the site and seeing where the main building would be, where the inside lap pool 🏊‍♀️would be and the 🏊‍♂️outdoor pool! 💦We are so excited to be bringing this into our county!!! THE AQUATICS CENTER OF MATAGORDA COUNTY

With three dedicated classrooms, MIRC will provide instructor-led training designed to strengthen safety, develop skills, and support the workforce needs of Matagorda County and the surrounding region.

It's a beautiful day outside today..... just slightly😬🫣 hot! 🥵 How we wish THE AQUATICS CENTER OF MATAGORDA COUNTY was ready for us to take a cool 🛝 slide into today 💦....but SUMMER 2027 will be here before we know it! Kids can climb aboard giant trucks, explore heavy equipment, meet hometown heroes, and experience the thrill of sitting behind the wheel of real working vehicles. From towering CAT equipment to flashing emergency vehicles, this is your chance to get hands-on with the biggest rigs around!
🚦 Sensory-Friendly Hour | 10–11 a.m.
Need a quieter start? We’ve got you covered. During the first hour, horns and flashing lights will stay off for a calmer, sensory-friendly experience while still keeping all the fun rolling.
