Purpose of the Town’s Social Media Sites & Guidelines
The Town understands that social media can be a fun and reward

ing way to share one’s life and opinions with family, friends, and persons around the world. However, use of social media also presents certain risks and carries with it certain responsibilities. To assist you in making responsible decisions about your use of the Town’s social media, the Town has established guidelines for appropriate use of social media and certain terms of use. Guidelines
Be respectful - Always be fair and courteous to others. Avoid using statements, photographs, video or audio that reasonably could be viewed as malicious, obscene, threatening or intimidating, that disparage others or that might constitute harassment or bullying. Examples of such conduct might include offensive posts meant to intentionally harm someone’s reputation or posts that could contribute to a hostile environment on the basis of race, s*x, disability, religion or any other status protected by law. Be honest and accurate - Make sure you are always honest and accurate when posting information or news, and if you make a mistake, correct it quickly. Be open about any previous posts you have altered. Remember that the Internet archives almost everything; therefore, even deleted postings can be searched. Never post any information or rumors that you know to be false. Post only appropriate and respectful content - Express only your personal opinions. Never represent yourself as a spokesperson for the Town. If Town is the subject of the content you are creating, be clear and open about the fact that you are your views do not represent those of the Town, its employees, suppliers, or people working on behalf of Town. You are personally responsible for material you post and your re-postings. The Town of Bay Harbor Islands and the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department invite residents to attend an upcoming E-Scooter & E-Bike Town Updates Q&A Session.

This meeting is an opportunity to learn about recent updates, discuss community concerns, hear about enforcement efforts, and ask questions about the safe and responsible use of micromobility devices throughout our Town.

Bay Harbor S.A.F.E. is back! Join us for a Water Safety Tips Workshop on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Morris N. Broad Community Center.

This workshop will cover supervision methods, drowning prevention, and swim safety resources.

Open to residents of Bay Harbor Islands, Surfside, and Bal Harbour. Space is limited to 30 participants.

Members of the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department, Town Manager Lindsley Noel, and the Bay Harbor Islands Town Council were proud to attend and stand together in support of the men and women of law enforcement.

It was a great evening of recognition, unity, and appreciation for those who serve our communities every day.

On Friday, the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department came together for our National Police Week BBQ.

Chief Alvarez, Town Manager Noel, and members of our Town Council shared kind words recognizing the men and women of law enforcement who serve our communities every day, and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

National Police Week is a meaningful reminder of the dedication, courage, and sacrifice behind the badge. We are grateful for the continued support of our Town leadership and community.

New gate arms are now in place on W. Broadview Dr. near 96th Street.

These improvements were installed to help support safer traffic flow, encourage drivers to follow the designated traffic patterns, and enhance overall safety in the area.

The gate arms are automated and will open as vehicles approach from the proper direction. No remote or key fob is needed.

Thank you for your cooperation as we continue working together to keep Bay Harbor Islands safe for residents, visitors, and everyone traveling through the area.
