🌤️ Our Public Works crews have been making the most of the sunshine and cooler temperatures while working hard throughout the city!

🪚 Last week, they continued clearing storm-damaged areas while keeping up with their daily responsibilities that help keep Bay Minette running smoothly.

🔆 We appreciate all the residents who have taken advantage of this beautiful weather to tidy up the last of the storm debris littering their property.

🏡 As a reminder, please keep all yard debris separate from bulk material debris. These materials are picked up on a separate schedule and cannot be retrieved when mixed up. Yard Debris is picked up on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and consists only of:
🌱 Grass clippings
🍂 Leaves
🌲 Pine straw
🌳 Twigs
🎋 Branches

🔨 Residents are also asked to keep in mind that Construction and demolition waste are not eligible for this service. Materials such as shingles, sheetrock, lumber, and insulation can be picked up for a fee. Please call the Public Works Department to arrange this service 251-580-2559.

🚜 Our Public Works crews worked day & night in the lead up and aftermath of Hurricane Isaias, responding to resident calls. They are out again today continuing to clear debris.

🧡 We take great pride in this hard working crew and we are deeply grateful for the dedication and commitment shown by all our employees who were on-call, in service to their community during the dangerous conditions this past weekend.

🌳 Storm Debris Collection Update 🌳

Public Works crews will begin collecting limb debris and other storm‑related debris starting Monday, October 12. Crews will be working citywide, and residents may call to report their specific address so individual locations can be added to the collection list. Reports are welcome over the weekend in preparation.

📞 To report limb or debris pickup needs, call 251‑580‑2559.

When possible, please place debris near the roadside, away from mailboxes, hydrants, and utility poles.

⚡ Power Restoration Update ⚡

Baldwin EMC and Alabama Power have temporarily suspended power restoration efforts in our area for the night. Elevated wind velocity makes it dangerous for crews to safely operate equipment, and work will resume as soon as conditions safely allow.

🙏 We understand extended outages are difficult, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as utility crews prioritize safety during these hazardous conditions.

Please remember:
🏠 Stay indoors and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary
🚫 Do not approach downed lines or damaged electrical equipment

According to the National Weather Service, hurricane‑force winds and tropical‑storm conditions are spreading inland across southwest Alabama, with conditions continuing to deteriorate in Baldwin County.

📢 Important reminders:
- Stay indoors throughout the storm and avoid travel unless essential
- Emergency? Water in home, downed power line, or injury? Call 9‑1‑1
