🎉🐾 Celebrate with Us--5 Years with Remi the Courthouse Facility Dog! 🐾🎉

This month marks 5 incredible years of service from Remi, our beloved Courthouse Facility Dog! Since joining CASA of South Mississippi in 2020, Remi has comforted, supported, and sat/stood/laid down beside 181 children—bringing calm and courage to some of their most difficult moments.

We’re also excited to announce that Remi's team is growing! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Linda Perkes as Remi’s new secondary handler. With Linda’s help, Remi will now be expanding her support from Hancock County Youth Court to also include Harrison County Youth Court—bringing her steady presence to even more children and families in our community. Remi is also available to visit Stone County Youth Court upon request.

Special thanks to Canine Companions for this incredible gift & trust five years ago. Remi may not wear a cape, but she’s truly a hero in fur. 💙🐶

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Hope Haven Children's Advocacy Center hosted the "Placing of the Pinwheels" today in front of the Hancock County Courthouse.
