Just a reminder of the Bay View Village wide garage sales this weekend. June 12th 13th and 14th.

For the current water situation in the Village of Bay View. The Erie County Water Dept. informed me that for everyone except the Woodland Trail area will not be under a boil alert. Everyone in the area that is affected by the water line break have been tagged on their doors for a boil alert. I myself will be drinking bottle water for 24 hours and no tap water, but that is your call.

Update: Erie County says they will close valve and most of the Village should see a rise in pressure. It will be a minimum of two hours to fix. Erie County has stated the Village has maintained positive pressure so at this point there will not be a boil order in place. UPDATE THEY ARE WORKING ON THE BREAK BACK BY THE PUMP,STATION

I have been riding with the Water Dept since 5am looking for water main breaks. It appears the water is out to the entire Village and so far no luck finding the break. For those that already don't know if you have a few gallon jugs of water on hand you can pour it in the tank of your toilet if you need to flush.

Good morning everyone. I hope that everyone has made it through this snowy mess. As the weather starts to calm down a bit I would like to thank the Maintenance guys Rick and Alex for doing an outstanding job trying to keep the streets open as they plowed 12 hours yesterday and were right back at 6am this morning. A thank you to the Fire Chief for having a couple people on hand in the event of an emergency and the Police Chief for keeping the Village safe as well. I know as we are nice and warm in our beds sometimes we take these things for granted. Yes we can say well that's their jobs and we would be right, but they are no different than you and I. What if they would say that is my day off I will be back on Monday or the weather is to bad for us to come out? That is why we should all be thankful for all the great benefits that the Village of Bay View offers. It is not just a paycheck for most but rather a community commitment. And a big thank you to all the friends and neighbors that helped clear snow for folks. Thank you to the ones that volunteered their service by posting their numbers. I believe the roads outside of the Village still may be hazardous so please stay safe out there.
