THANK YOU BAYONNE!!!

After 8 years of service I look back with pride and gratitude. It has been wonderfully fulfilling and nourishing to my soul. I am so grateful for all the relationships built over this time.

I congratulate the winners of this election and wish that they find all the joy and fulfillment that serving has brought me.

Let us come together as a city and support our leaders as their success is our success.

I cast my Vote Today!!! I hope to see the rest of you out there!

Behind every candidate is someone who believed in them first. For me, that’s my fiancé, Rachel. While we kick off Early Voting in this election, I’d like to take a moment to honor her and her commitment to this city.

Born and raised in Bayonne, just like me. Thankfully, she fell in love with me, and she fell in love with my mission for Bayonne. Every event, every late night and early morning of this campaign, every Sunday brunch with my best friends and brothers, every Sicilian club event. She has stood by my side and improved every aspect.

Rachel has been right there. Not because she had to be. But because Bayonne is her home too. She’s brilliant and beautiful. She effortlessly demonstrates kindness and strength.

We are Two Bayonne kids, raised here, choosing each other, and choosing this city-over and over again. I may represent the First Ward, but this woman has supported the preservation and improvements to this Ward just as hard.

Lucky, is an understatement!

Early voting has started, and Election Day is this Tuesday, May 12.

Bayonne born. Bayonne raised. Bayonne forever.

Early voting starts tomorrow and Election Day is Tuesday, May 12. In my two terms in office I have never felt the need to tear down another candidate in order to raise myself up. I don’t intend to start now. I love doing this work and I wish to continue. I hope I can count on your Support.

My name is Neil Carroll a lifelong resident of Downtown Bayonne, otherwise known as the First Ward. I come from a family deeply rooted in public service and civic leadership. That legacy of dedication to community has guided my path—as a lifelong educator, two-term city Councilman, and tireless advocate for Bayonne’s future.

With over a decade of experience as a public-school teacher, I began my journey at Saint Peter's Prep, followed by Saint Peter's University, where I obtained my Doctorate in Education (Ed.D).

In 2019, I became the youngest Councilman ever elected in the City of Bayonne at 27. In the last 8 years I have had a steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for Bayonne residents, championing initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety, infrastructure, and community engagement.

Recognizing the importance of ensuring the well-being of both pedestrians and motorists, I have been a vocal proponent of measures to promote safer streets and reduce traffic-related accidents in Bayonne. Two such measures my office has instituted are the Stop Sign Illumination Program and passing legislation to make U-Turns on Broadway illegal.

I spearheaded the establishment of the Field of Heroes event, a fundraising effort as well as a commemoration honoring local heroes and veterans, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude within the community. The program is entering its 8th year.

I was proud to play a pivotal role in reviving an Italian Parade after a 10-year absence as well as an Italian festival in Bayonne after a 25-year hiatus. I can most often be found under the zeppoli tent during our many community events.

In my tenure as a city councilman I have maintained an independent voice. When it comes to overdevelopment I have voted NO more times than any other councilperson past or present. I have taken REAL ACTION to make the city more affordable, introducing Workforce Housing and Rent Stabilization legislation.

I believe this election brings renewed hope for these initiatives and for the hard-working people in our city.

Most important to me is a commitment to education, community service, and accessibility while I fight for working families in Bayonne.
