Village of Bayside Public Works crews and Village personnel have been working since approximately 2:00 AM to assess, respond to, and mitigate damage from the overnight storms.
Our public safety team—including Police, Fire, and Dispatch—has also been working throughout the night and into today to address hazards and life-safety concerns and help keep our community safe.
We are currently responding to:
Numerous downed trees and branches and safeguarding downed power lines
Isolated areas of localized road and surface flooding
Blocked roads and impacts to public infrastructure
Our immediate priority is clearing trees and branches from roadways and rights-of-way and addressing hazards that may affect public safety. Crews will continue working throughout the day to clear roads and respond to damage as quickly and safely as possible.
If you have questions or concerns about fallen trees or storm damage, please contact Village Hall at 414-206-3915.
Power outages: Please report power outages directly to WE Energies. (https://www.we-energies.com/OutageManagement/Status/CurrentOutage)
Emergencies: Please call 911 for immediate emergencies and life-safety issues only. Limiting 911 calls to emergencies will help our public safety teams respond to those who need immediate assistance.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work through the storm and its aftermath.
And a special thank you to our DPW crews, Police, Fire, Dispatch, and all Village personnel who have been working since the early morning hours and throughout the day to keep Bayside safe and moving. We are grateful for their dedication and commitment to our community.
Please stay safe and avoid areas with downed trees, standing water, or other storm-related hazards.
