We are a 5th-8th grade middle school serving the Wisconsin communities of Fox Point and Bayside. We welcome respectful engagement and feedback on the Bayside Middle School social media platforms. Our 5th graders recently took an exciting field trip to JA Biztown, where they put their financial literacy skills to good use! Prior to the trip, students completed lessons on money management, what makes a community function, and how people, businesses, and banks connect. During the visit, students learned firsthand what it takes to run a business, make financial decisions, and work together. Students had different jobs and responsibilities at various companies and performed those tasks throughout the day.

The FPBS District Art Show opening night celebration was this week and it was wonderful to see the works of art of so many of our students!🖼️

We are lucky to have Mr. Oaks' creativity and dedication guiding students as they grow in their artistic knowledge, skills, and the joy of creation culminating in this chance to showcase it at the show. 🎨

We are very excited to share that our Bayside teams did extremely well at the Fluid Power Challenge Competition hosted by MSOE. This unique event gives students a chance to explore fluid power, learn about careers in engineering, and delve into the design process. Over four weeks, students worked in teams of three to four students to design a device that could grab, lift, and rotate using fluid power. Harrison, Ian, Nick and Oliver's team won first place overall. Alex, Eli, Micah and William's team won the team challenge award for earning the most points (after our first place team!), and Grace, Madailein and Zoe's team won the teamwork award. We are so proud of all of our students who participated in this challenging activity!

Sometimes, learning and fun happen outside of the classroom. Recently, our 7th graders explored a 5-mile stretch of the Milwaukee River in Ozaukee County in their canoes! Thanks to our friends at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center for guiding everyone on the trip.
