Arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Pct. 3 nightshift patrol deputies at the intersection of FM 2100 and US 90 observed a vehicle with a disturbance inside. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Deputies investigated and found the male passenger had pulled a knife and threatened to stab the driver. The passenger was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to JPC.

Training in conditions that are unique to their shift allows deputies to experience these additional challenges, recognize how they have the potential to change reactions, and sharpen their skills to be prepared to respond appropriately and effectively.

SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AFTER WRECKING INTO PCT 3 PATROL CAR AND FLEEING THE SCENE

The scene is clear and all lanes are open.

One lane is closed at Wilson Rd. A Pct 3 Toll Road Deputy was struck while he was on the N Sam Houston Twy. westbound. The driver of the box truck refused to stop and fled the scene. Deputies and a good samaritan followed the male driver until he finally stopped at the N. Sam Houston Pkwy E at the eastbound service road after Wilson Rd. where he was attempting to re-enter the main lanes. Pct. 3 deputies detained the suspect and assistance from the HCSO and HC Pct. 1 are on scene. The Pct. 3 deputy has been transported to Memorial Herman for injuries.

Night Shift Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious male in the Edgewood Village Subdivision. Upon making contact with the subject is was discovered that the male had an open warrant for violating his bond conditions for DWI 2ND. Subject will be transported to JPC.

DWI ARREST

Precinct 3 deputies observed a vehicle that was speeding and driving recklessly through traffic in the area of the 11500 block of Sam Houston Parkway N. As the deputy attempted to catch up to the suspect vehicle, additional units were strategically engaged to bring the vehicle to a stop. Deputies investigated and found the driver to show signs of impairment. After the investigation that included SFST, the driver was charged and arrested for DWI.

Arrest for Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance

Precinct 3 deputies were dispatched to a call for theft at a church in the 3000 block of E Sam Houston Pkwy N earlier today. Deputies arrived to the location where the suspect had already left. Deputies investigated and gathered information about the suspect and the stolen items. The suspect was located a few hours later at a gas station across the street from the church with the stolen property in the vehicle. During an inventory search, a small bag of crystal like substance (methamphetamine) was located. Charges for Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance were accepted and the suspect has been transported to the Harris County Jail.
