At the Beachwood Medical Camp hosted at UH Ahuja Medical Center, students didn't just learn about medicine—they lived it. Participants gained invaluable clinical skills through hands-on heart and lung dissections, real-world ultrasound practice, and essential CPR training. In addition to their clinical rotations, students spent a powerful day volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, where they learned firsthand about the profound impact that food insecurity has on community health care.

For the truly science-minded, the Anatomy & Physiology Camp offered an intensive, deep dive into the human body. Students engaged in two days of advanced classroom instruction covering complex human anatomy before putting their knowledge to the test. They concluded the camp with a rare, immersive laboratory experience working directly with human specimens, bridging the gap between textbook theory and real-world science.

Dear Beachwood Community Members,

If you would like a keepsake brick from the original Bryden School building (circa 1956), there is a pile for you to take one from gathered at the entrance to the school off Bryden Road. This drive is currently serving as the construction entrance, so please do not enter. You can pull up on the side of the road, select your brick, then continue on Bryden Road. We hope you enjoy this piece of Beachwood City Schools history!

Original Hilltop School bricks will be available soon. More information to follow.

Our preschool campers were all smiles as they hopped on the bus and headed off for an exciting field trip to the aquarium! From colorful fish and playful sea creatures to fascinating underwater exhibits, our little explorers had a fin-tastic time discovering the wonders of aquatic life.

The bus ride was filled with excitement, laughter, and lots of anticipation as campers eagerly looked forward to their adventure. It was a day full of learning, exploration, and unforgettable memories!

A reminder that Beachwood City Schools, in partnership with the City of Beachwood and with collaboration from the Beachwood Schools African American Affinity Group, is hosting the fourth annual Juneteenth celebration today, June 19, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Beachwood High School stadium.

The event is free and open to the public and will include activities, games, a DJ, local vendors, food trucks, and a screening of “Piece by Piece” on a giant movie truck.

Now in its fourth year, the Juneteenth celebration has quickly grown into one of the most well-attended events in the city. Parking is available at Beachwood High School and Beachwood Middle School, with overflow parking at Beachwood City Hall.

Work continues on the new Fitness Facility at Beachwood High School. Scheduled to open in early September, this state-of-the-art space will provide our student-athletes with an incredible environment to train, build strength, and develop physically and mentally, providing a lasting impact on generations of Bison student-athletes.

We are excited to announce that the Beachwood High School Girls Track and Field team will be recognized and honored for winning the OHSAA Division IV State Championship at Friday’s Juneteenth Celebration. The event runs from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Beachwood High School and the recognition will be part of the programming that begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Juneteenth event is free and open to the public and will include activities, games, a DJ, local vendors, food trucks, and a screening of “Piece by Piece” on a giant movie truck. We hope to see you there as we honor this outstanding accomplishment and celebrate Juneteenth as a community.

Site work continues to move along smoothly at Bryden. Crews are making great progress on parking lots, driveways, landscaping, and play surfaces as the area starts to take shape.
