2025 Compost data is in! Beacon has diverted a lot of organic waste from incineration. We hope to continue expanding the drop off program in 2026 with a new location (share your suggestions). Thank you to for their data tracker and continued partnership.

Happy Fall Beacon! Pumpkin Collection has begun until the end of November. Drop off your pumpkin at the Beacon Recreation Center Super sack rather than tossing it in the trash. Composting pumpkins and organic material reduces methane and other greenhouse gas emissions from landfills and incinerators.
