Virtual CAP Meeting Notice
We will be hosting a virtual CAP meeting on Thursday, November 12th from 5:30-7:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time). This meeting will be conducted online via the Zoom platform. Similar to our in-person CAP meetings, we plan to update the CAP on our progress with the remediation, including the findings of the RIR, provide a brief real estate update, and answer participant questions. Chevron is planning a meeting of the Former Texaco Research Facility Community Advisory Panel (CAP) at the Slater Chemical Fire Hall on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 beginning with dinner at 5:30 pm followed immediately by the meeting agenda.

In addition to the regular business of the safety moment and site update the agenda will include an update from the environmental side and the regulatory process, an update from the real estate side of Chevron on property divestment issues and a discussion regarding the CAP meetings - community expectations and meeting frequency.

Happy new year! You are invited to a meeting of the Glenham Mills Working Group on January 31 at 5:30 pm at the Slater Chemical Fire Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and walk through the final draft report that is the product of the design charrette, the working group and Chevron's efforts over the last year. Your input will help finalize the report. The final report will then be presented at a public forum event later this year. Hope to see you there!

Join us on Wednesday November 15, for the Glenham Mills Public Forum where Chevron will communicate what they heard at the design charrette meetings. The meeting will be held at the Slater Chemical Fire Hall from 5:30pm - 8:00pm.

The agenda will include a short review of the property planning process, evaluation of potential site options, acknowledgment of community concerns, introduction of vision principles for the site, and future steps.

Please join us for this imporant meeting as we begin to put your ideas in motions determining the future of Glenham Mills (the former Texaco Beacon Research Center).

Did you know that the former Texaco Research Center was first home to a wool and saw mill erected on the property in 1811? It grew significantly during the Civil War when it began manufacturing the blue serge cloth used for Union Army uniforms.
