The Privatized Housing Resident Advocate takes a proactive approach to ensure military members' and their families' concerns with privatized housing are addressed and elevated to the appropriate levels within the chain of command. The Privatized Housing Resident Advocate (RA) takes a proactive approach to ensure military members' and their families' concerns with privatized housing are addressed a
nd elevated to the appropriate levels within the chain of command. The Resident Advocate promotes access to safe and healthy homes, provides advice/consultation to any member or member’s dependents on landlord/tenant rights as contained in laws, privatization agreements and DoD, and AF regulations. The Beale AFB RA acts as a liaison between residents of privatized housing, the Military Housing Office and Beale AFB Housing (Balfour Beatty Communities) management staff to assist with issue resolution or expedite services within established transaction documents, policies and, when appropriate through partnering meetings with the MHO and PH managers. The RA will mediate with Beale AFB Housing staff at the members’ request to assist with unresolved complaints or needs in accordance with residents' rights and in concert with other base organizations.
