9th RW Change of Command! 🇺🇸

Today, Col. Keagan McLeese relinquished command to Col. Charles Cameron during the 9th Reconnaissance Wing change of command ceremony at Beale AFB. The ceremony was presided over by Lt. Gen. Thomas Hensley, commander of the Sixteenth Air Force.

The passing of the guidon is rooted in military tradition and symbolizes the formal transfer of authority and responsibility from one commander to another.

Thank you Col. McLeese for your leadership, and congratulations Col. Cameron on assuming command!

Transforming the Future

Last week, Brig. Gen. Christopher Hammond, director of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s Implementation Task Force, hosted an all call for the members of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing about Air Expeditionary Wing initiatives.

Hammond provided an in-depth overview of how the AEW construct transforms force presentation, putting combat-ready teams in the fight faster, more cohesive and stronger than ever.

Last week, Team Beale came together to honor the service, sacrifice and dedication of law enforcement professionals during National Police Week 2026.
