49 Years of Service • Member Since July 1, 1977
For nearly five decades, Jim Clinton has been a driving force behind the Bear Creek Lions Club. His impact can be seen all throughout Lions Park and throughout our community.
Over the years, Jim has served as:
⭐️ Club President – 5 terms
⭐️ Treasurer – 10 years
Jim has also been involved in countless projects that helped shape our club into what it is today. He was part of the team that started the playground, helped tear down the old bar to make way for today’s clubhouse and ballpark, and played a key role in bringing lights to the ballfield.
His service doesn’t stop there. Jim has:
⚾️ Played and umpired countless ball games.
⚾️ Sold concessions and organized numerous tournaments.
⚾️ Mowed the park to keep it looking its best.
⚾️ Helped secure steaks for the Steak Fry, fish for the Fish Fry, and potatoes for the Pancake Breakfast.
When asked about his favorite memories, Jim said he is most proud of being part of a four-generation Lions family legacy. Watching the ballpark come to life, adding lights, hosting tournaments, seeing the club grow, and being part of Farm Technology Days are memories he’ll always cherish.
Jim’s advice to new Lions members:
“Get active. Come to a meeting and get involved!”
Jim, thank you for 49 years of leadership, hard work, and dedication. Your commitment has helped build not only our park but the foundation of the Bear Creek Lions Club. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of Lions to come.
