It's almost time for our annual book sale!

It's almost time for the annual book sale! All proceeds go to the Alpine County Friends of the Library. This wonderful group funds programming and purchases that benefit the library and our patrons. It typically takes 1.5 hours to set up and clean up the book sale. Volunteers who help set up on Thursday at 3pm can also shop while they are working. And as always on Saturday at 4pm all books are free for the taking, you can box up some books for your neighborhood little free library or whatever you like. All books will be packed up and taken to a non profit thrift shop. It really is a fun volunteer opportunity. Many thanks!

The First 5 Alpine’s Mobile Family Resource Center pop-ups will be at the Bear Valley Library Wednesday July 15, 2026, 12:00pm- 2:30pm for literacy and creative activities mixed in with movement… “Plant a seed, Read!” is the theme for the day.

FREE Diapers still available, “Diaper time is TALK time!” Limited sizes, contact Amy Broadhurst with needed sizes and she will do her best to coordinate getting them delivered to you. There will also be FREE produce from Northern Nevada’s Food Bank Produce available from 12-2:30 at the library.

FYI we now have radon kits available for check out at the library.

We now have EcoBlu Radon Gas Monitor kits available for check out, as part of our Library of Things! Use these to test radon levels in your home or workplace. Comes with instruction manual, USB charger, and carrying pouch.

This Friday July 10th from 4-6 is the day we resume the library painting group. Our painting group is joining up with the Arts & Craft group that also meets on Fridays. Bring your projects and bring those friends who would rather weave, knit, bead, sew or whatever. I look forward to seeing you soon.
