All the planning and work to pull it off has come and gone and the Beardsley Fire and First Responders would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that came to town to enjoy the day and support us!It was a little hectic at times from keeping up cooking, making sure everyone got a good BINGO, enjoying some excellent entertainment and fireworks display and also getting an active 911 call during the parade to tend to. We are hopeful we gave everybody the best experience you could have for a somewhat warm and steamy Beardsley Days 2026.

A line of severe thunderstorms with potential for bowing segments is currently tracking east across parts of northeast SD at 40 mph. Be prepared for frequent lightning, wind gusts up to 60-75 mph and heavy rain that could lead to flooding. Also, tornadoes will be possible with this storm. If you are in the path or general vicinity of this storm, seek shelter immediately!

Storms are beginning to develop along the Sisseton Hills and will track northeastward into MN through the late evening. Any storm that becomes severe could produce large hail of 2" in diameter, wind gusts up to 80mph, and the development of a tornado or two.
