After careful evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue Hoopla after September 4, 2026.

Why is the Library Discontinuing Hoopla?
We continually assess our collections to ensure we’re providing the highest-quality materials for the best value for our patrons.

The library pays every time an item is checked out on Hoopla. As patron usage grows, so does our total spending. Hoopla’s business model is unsustainable and costly for public libraries like ours.

Unfortunately, libraries throughout the country are facing similar problems. Skyrocketing Hoopla costs have not kept pace with library budgets, which can’t be expected to grow at the same rate.

We thank you for your time and encourage you to check out our other in person and online resources like Libby and NewsBank.

84, Charing Cross Road is a 1970 non-fiction book by Helene Hanff. It is an epistolary memoir composed of letters from the twenty-year correspondence between the author and Frank Doel, chief buyer for Marks & Co antiquarian booksellers, and others, located at the eponymous address in London.

We have noticed an uptick in library books being returned in poor condition, so we wanted to share a quick reminder on how to keep our fantastic books usable for a long time!

Please keep books in a safe, dry place.
Please don't write or draw in books.
Please use a bookmark.
Please keep books away from pets.
Please keep books away from food and drink.
Please tell the librarian about any damage.

If books continue to come back damaged, we may have to implement a processing fee to cover the cost of replacement, fixing, and labor.
