Tomorrow! Saturday, June 20th we will be having our Summer Maker Market from 10:30am-4:00pm. Here is a peek at some items available from our maker friends. Come check it out!

Also tomorrow will be Baby Raves at 11am & 1pm, and the Books Bites and Beyond cookbook club will be meeting at 12pm.

It's not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, visit the library to earn prizes and see what cool programs we have going through July.

Our most delicious club, Books, Bites, and Beyond Cookbook Club, meets on Saturday June 20th at 12:00 pm in our Lower Level. This month we are discussing family recipes so pull out Great-Aunt Mabel's famous jello salad recipe and bring it on down to share!

Did you know Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is good for your baby's developing brain? We do, so we are holding a Baby Rave for infants 0-2 years old on Saturday, June 20th. Because we know nap times are important there are two opportunities to come dance, play in the bubbles, and glow in the dark; 11:00 - 11:30 am or 1:00 - 1:30 pm.
Don't worry toddler and preschool parents, we will have one just for you in July!
No fee and no registration required.

Our book discussion this month is The Lost Year by Katherine March and will be led by Youth Services Librarian, Morgan Fox. All are welcome to attend.

Thirteen-year-old Matthew is miserable. His journalist dad is stuck overseas indefinitely, and his mom has moved in his one-hundred-year-old great-grandmother to ride out the pandemic, adding to his stress and isolation.

We made it to week #3 of Summer Reading! Here is what is happening at the Beatrice Public Library!
Our regular story times on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Kids aged 6-11 can come in and craft some Shrinky D***s between 1 and 6 pm on Wednesday.
Thursday, the City of Beatrice will have large equipment for you to come out and look at!
Thursday evening from 5-7, teens can come in for our board game cafe. Play our new and classic games, have a coffee or other beverage and enjoy some fun with friends!
Saturday at 11 and 1 we have our Baby Rave in the Story Time room! Bubbles, disco lights, baby friendly electronic dance music, and glow bracelets!

One week away! Stop by the Beatrice Public Library on Saturday, June 20th to support our maker friends and see what they have created!

In addition to visiting the Maker Market, come sign up for the Summer Reading Program! You can also join us on that day for our Baby Rave, Books Bites and Beyond, and check out our USA Semiquincentennial art display!

During the event, the Makerspace will be closed for use, but open for tours upon request.

After-hours laser tag is this Friday from 5-7 pm for ages 12-18. This event will be supervised by library staff and parent permission forms must be turned in before the teen may participate. No one will be admitted after 5:00 pm, so make sure you show up early!
