Tonight the Three Forks Regional Jail family mourns the tragic loss of long time employee, Captain Josh Ward . Josh was more than just a coworker but a friend you could always count on. Josh will never be forgotten and his memory will always remain a part of our work family. Thank you Josh for the friendship, laughs, and memories that you leave behind. We love you and will miss you. Please keep Josh’s wife Katie and their three children in your prayers during this difficult time.

CPC has finished setting up our phones and inmate tablet communication system. Friends/ family can now go to inmatesales.com to purchase phone/ video visit time. Inmates and loved ones will now be available to schedule video visits Monday-Friday 7am-7pm. We will still have in person visitation but only on Saturday for males 7am-7pm AND females on Sundays 7am-7pm. Chirping is now on the tablets.

Three Forks Regional Jail is in the process of upgrading our inmate communication system this week. Combined Public Communications (CPC) is here setting up our new tablet system. Inmates will be able to still text message friends/family but on a tablet device. Other features will be video visitation, mail, online library of thousands of books. If you have communicated with an inmate from our facility recently you might receive a text message asking you to confirm if you would like to continue communicating with the inmate(s). This is a security precaution and is NOT a scam. If you have additional questions, you can contact Combined Public Communications customer care at 877-398-7700. We hope to have the new devices distributed by Wednesday to make communicating with inmates easier and better for family and friends. In person visitation will not be available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday.

Three Forks Regional Jail is honored and appreciative to have received a Kentucky Association of Counties Insurance grant. Administrator Jared Pelfrey submitted the application a few months ago and we were grateful to hear we were being awarded. This grant will fund a new firewall which is coming to end of life and is essential to our network security. A firewall acts as the first line of defense against cyber threats. It monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predefined security rules, preventing unauthorized access to sensitive systems and data at our facility. Without a modern firewall, networks are vulnerable to malware, hacking attempts, data breaches, and other cyber attacks. We would like to say a big thank you to KACO for this opportunity! We have been made aware of scam calls targeting family/friends of inmates claiming to be from “Lee County Jail” or Three Forks Regional Jail, and requesting payment for someone in our custody.

Please note that we will NEVER contact you by phone to request debit/credit card numbers or banking information, nor do we accept payments via phone or email. If you receive such a call, it is certain that you are being scammed, as we do not initiate these types of calls. Please share this information to help protect others from scammers.

This week is Correctional Officer Appreciation Week, a time to honor the men and women serving in high stress environments that most people never see.
