On 7/2/26, I was contacted by Investigator Cory Dunaway, an employee at the Three Forks Regional Jail. He stated that Wolfe County Jailer, Albert Lykins, transported Carmie Smith to the Three Forks Regional Jail, she was brought into the booking area. She was taken to the body scanner room and scanned. Her scan showed she had something on her. We recovered a substantial amount of drugs, myself Investigator, Cory Dunaway, Wolfe County Jailer Al Lykins, and Administrator, Jared Pelfrey, investigated Jailer Lykins vehicle and found a substantial amount of methamphetamines inside of it. All drugs was recovered. Carmie Smith was charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance methamphetamines greater than 2 grams and one count of tamper of physical evidence. The investigation is being worked by Lee County Jailer Justin Shuler, Wolfe County Jailer Al Lykins and Investigator Cory Dunaway. And administrator Jared Pelfrey. 
The drugs did not make it into the facility

Like Administrator Jared Pelfrey says, “ If you think you gonna bring drugs to the Three Forks Regional Jail, We are like Motel 6, we will leave the lights on for you!”
