The City of Beattyville is now seeking certified and non-certified applicants for a full time police officer with the Beattyville Police Department. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent and must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicants must pass a physical examination, physical agility test, polygraph, drug screen, and psychological evaluation as specified by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. If hired, applicants must be able to complete a 20-week law enforcement basic training program at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice training facility in Richmond, Kentucky within one year of employment.
